Spirituality in Counselling

  • 2 Steps

About

Spirituality in Clinical Practice is a self-paced online program for counsellors, chaplains, spiritual care practitioners, and healthcare professionals seeking to integrate spirituality into clinical work. The program explores spirituality as a vital part of holistic care, focusing on meaning, hope, purpose, connection, grief, anxiety, end-of-life care, and existential distress. It distinguishes spirituality from religion while recognising religious, spiritual, humanist, agnostic, and atheist perspectives. Participants are introduced to practical assessment tools, intervention strategies, care planning approaches, and real-world examples across counselling, healthcare, aged care, and palliative settings. The program includes a one-hour video presentation and short quiz. Completion provides a Certificate of Completion and is recognised by the Australian Counselling Association as One Hour of Online Professional Development.
